Hi, I’m Sam. I’m an illustrator originally from the US, living in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Growing up in the American Southwest, I found inspiration for the name Moonflower in Moonflower Canyon, Utah, a place where I spent summers hiking and exploring before moving to Ireland. I wanted to carry a little of that calm, expansive desert landscape with me to my new home and let it live on through my art practice. My work is rooted in nature and celebrates bright colour, reflecting the beauty and quiet energy of the landscapes and daily rituals that continue to inspire me.
My Approach
My two main ethics when it comes to creating and building my brand are simple:
No AI art. Human made, always.
High quality art prints drawn by hand using a combination of iPad, watercolours, and coloured pencils.
Eco-conscious and recycled materials.
My paper products and shipping materials are recycled and compostable. No plastic.
